MONDAY

7:00-8:00pm Dynamic Alignment Open Level

A mixed level class, some yoga experience required. Incorporates some flowing sequences based on sun salutations to build warmth and focus, then exploring different groups of poses with clear alignment instruction and awareness, mindfully integrating breath with movement to develop strength, flexibility, functional movement and inner steadiness and calm. Modifications and safe adjustments are offered to suit individual needs.

8:15-9:15pm Yoga Fundamentals 

Covering key alignment points of a range of yoga poses, focusing on functional healthy movement patterns, healthy breathing and a gradual wind down to full relaxation.

Great for beginners, anyone who needs to practice more slowly to be mindful of lower back/shoulder/wrist or other physical issues, or for anyone wanting to review clear alignment points to take back into a more dynamic practice.

  • N.B. no classes 14th and 21st November 2017
  • All classes are drop-in

A slower paced, gentle class suitable for beginners, senior students or those with an injury or wanting a more relaxed gentle class.

Gentle Yoga focuses on mindful functional movement using gentle yoga postures with breath awareness and deep relaxation. These classes can be a good balance to dynamic yoga and are also useful in caring for tired and stiff muscles, back tension and other minor injuries.

A gentle class  exploring a range of yoga postures focused on helpful functional movement, with a consistent emphasis on cultivating a relaxed, fluid breath. The class ends with rejuvenating restorative poses and a guided final relaxation. Modifications and safe adjustments are offered to suit individual needs.
